What are these Vibrations? ..........

Q.What are these Vibrations? (Physiologically, Scientifically, and Spiritually.)

Q. Where do these Vibrations come from? From You, Cosmos or Atmosphere? What way do the Vibrations benefit us?

Answer: Very good question.
First question is about what are these Vibrations?

I told you yesterday, that in our heart, there is a flicker of light, which is burning all the time; which is Atma; which is the reflection of Paramatma in our heart.

In short I will tell you. What happens when the Kundalini rises. She opens the Brahmarandhra. And there is the Seat of the Sadashiva, the Pitha. The Pitha is here at Sahasrara, but Sadashiva is in the Heart, reflected as Atma. Pitha is created because it receives the Subtle energy which is All Pervading. The Gross. Inside the All Pervading. e.g. this mike collects my voice. Voice is a subtle energy, which is collected through this, and if you have a radio it will catch them.

In the same way Pithas are in the brain, and Pitha of Sadashiva is higher up here, which is opened out, so that the Subtle, the Sukshama, the gross passes into our heart, through a very Subtle channel. Just like a gas-light,it has a flicker. And when the gas opens out the Prakash occurs. Now the Vibrations are that Prakash going through us. These Vibrations start flowing through us.

Now what do I do?

You will say 'Mataji what do you do?' I do nothing but I just try to give you that force, which is the, you can say, gas power. That is the gas power. Because the Kundalini knows when I am before you. She rises, She opens out, and It starts flowing. It is flowing through Me through out. But unless you are subtle, you cannot feel it. you can say, that I am the Finite in the infinite. Or you can say the Infinite in the finite. I am both. So the energy that is emitted into all the subtle energy is passing through Me. Is the Virat. From the Virata, the whole thing is passing. It is going into the All Pervading. It is all Pervading. Everybody, everywhere it is going. Even it is in a cell, in a Carbon atom it is there, in all atoms it is there. It is the Subtle Energy. That is emitted through Me. When you become subtle, you become like a radio, you start receiving it. Now how will you know what is correct and what is incorrect? You ask the subtle, and the subtle answers you, and you get the answers on your hand. It is like this. So these are the Vibrations, which you receive, from the All Pervading power. And the All Pervading Power is emitted out, and you receive it from Me of the All-Pervading. It is just the same, from everywhere. These are the Vibrations.

The Self-Realisation, which is the very subtle point, you try to understand now. That it is so far an unconscious for you. Your Atma is in the unconscious it is not in the Awareness. It is in the Achetan. It is in your unconscious. You are not yet aware about it. But once you are Realised, it starts flowing into your awareness, means that you start feeling into your Central Nervous System, because your nervous system is your Chetana. Is your awareness. Human awareness is nothing else but the Central Nervous System. But this Central Nervous System starts feeling now, the Vibrations, the Light of the Atma through it. So that it tells us why it is known as Samadhi. Samadhi means the Unconscious. When the Unconscious becomes the Conscious it is called the Samadhi. It is not Beshudhavstha! It means that you become aware of the unconscious. Not only that, but first you become Nirvichara, then Nirvikalpa, and then a complete Self-Realisation. So Samadhi, is a confusing word Samadhi. Just means an Universal Unconscious. Yesterday Justice Vaidya told you that there are three types of Sadhanas, Satvik, Rajasi, and Tamasi. Tamasi goes to the left hand side, leads it to the Subconscious, collective Subconscious, connected to the Libido on the left hand side. The Right side is the Supra Conscious, connected the Pingala Nadi, which is the Will Power as you call it, goes to the collective Supra Conscious. God, Goddesses and Ganas are on this side, and all those who fall into that go to the Hell. But the Center is the Super-Conscious. For the Sushumna, the human being rises above the Super Conscious. They gradually start becoming more and more aware. They have the same body.

For example, if you look at the cell of the brain, is the same as the cell of a fat. But there is a difference. So the difference starts taking and by the time you open out from here, then there is even a greater dimension, to that cell. Your Brain, that it starts receiving the Vibrations and can understand it. Then in your Nirvikalpa stage, you get another dimension, by which you have the Knowledge. (Words missing here.) Abouts of your knowledge. The last is the Self-Realisation, where you just enjoy. Complete enjoyment. No problems. You do not catch, nothing happens. I would say our Vaidya Saheb is very much near Self-Realisation. The way he got his self-realisation is very remarkable. The next question is about the vibrations being psychological?

Psychologically, you can feel on your hands, on your fingers.
Scientifically you can say that the Parasympathetic gets activated. You get the control of the Parasympathetic, you jump into the Unconscious, the Universal Unconscious. I have already told you the Spiritual aspects of these Vibrations.

Regarding the second part of the

Question: Where these Vibrations are coming from? You, Cosmos, or Atmosphere?

The Vibrations come from everywhere, I am the emitting Force. All right, Accepted. This the Vital force of Life. It gives you a complete balance. It corrects your physical being. It corrects your Mental being. It corrects your Emotional being, It gives you a complete Spiritual oneness with God. It integrates you completely. As far as I am concerned, I have no Paschatap. I don't understand what is Paschatap. I don't understand what is Temptation. I don't understand these things because I am completely One with Myself. Every finger I move, every hand I move, it has a meaning. It is done without thinking, but there is a big thought behind it. I say 'Han' Han means there is a formation of circle which works. It is difficult to explain, as my mechanism is different from yours, so I can't explain what I do.

You don't have those mechanics within you. But it is like that. When I say, Hin? Hun, Han, Hin, all these are tremendous words. They create a kind of a force; a Rakshasas, and all that, and you can pull them out also. Now I gave in a Mataka, my breath. It is a Pranava itself complete. That Pranava, in the night, when they will be sleeping will come out, and take out all the bad things in you gradually, and bind them, and put them inside. You have seen many mad people are cured like that.

When women start crying, men starts moving onto the left and get possessed.

"In this lifetime, the highest thing is your ascent and your position in the kingdom of God. Especially for ladies, I have to tell you because, you see, reading all these tragic things all over…. It just starts working in the nerves of the ladies. If somebody says the slightest things it becomes like a bombshell .we should first see what harm we do to ourselves. So many women in the west have ruined themselves, but they never cry for that. But there are sensible women I have seen in the East and the West who have a great sense of life, like an elephant is walking and the dogs are barking, so what does it matter?

That majesty comes when inside you have that joy. Nobody can make me unhappy this should be the principle; otherwise you start moving towards the left side. Crying is also another kind of ego expression. When women start crying, men starts moving onto the left and get possessed." So today I want a promise from you all that you're not going to cry at all. Instead of flowers you just give me this flower of promise. I never cry. Of course, sometimes 'Sandra Karuna', "one tear or two tears might come out. After all, I 'm a Mother. "But this doesn't mean sitting, crying and becoming hysterical. Don't read any book, which talks of crying, but book, which are deep, also makes you feel very much touched; if you feel like crying it's all right.

Cut off from your past completely

(Hamsa chakra shown by Maa)
"Hamsa chakra does the greatest thing about which I do not know if you are aware or not-that whatever are your karma phalas are finished. You are not responsible for your forefather's karma phalas, your own personal karma phalas. Whatever wrong we have done is finished, as if you are cut off from your past completely. Once this is established, then all mistakes, all wrongdoings, not only of you, of your country, of this world anything doesn’t touch you. You are aloof from it"

(Shri Hamsa Chakra Puja- Canada- 1992)

Ekadasha Rudra and the Cleansing of Catches

Some notes from Mothers advise on how to correct problems with the Ekadasha Rudra (Delhi-1981)
1. Establish your innocence. Put your eyes to mother earth.

2. Cleanse your void. If you went to a false Guru beat him with shoes.

3. Put your attention more to Nature than to other people.

4. Be careful when organizing: stop organizing if you are catching on this center, and do not speak in public.

5. Obstinacy catches here.

6. A halfhearted commitment to Sahaja Yoga can cause a problem with the Ekadasha Rudra.

7. The Ekadasha Rudra collects from the left and the right sympathetic. Therefore, the combination of a left catch with the right catch will particularly affect it.

(Nirmal Yoga, vol.3, no. 16, Jul- Aug 1983)

When you wash My Feet you do the same thing and even when you evoke fire you do the same thing

"Now you cannot think about the Puja. These are things, which happen into a realm, which is beyond thinking. So you have to understand that you cannot rationalize the Puja. You should have the maximum advantage on your Chakras. For that you must fully just concentrate on the Puja, and how the wind is blowing. And the wind will see to it that it drives out all the clouds. So your only work is- your only method is - just to concentrate on the Puja and witness. You are a seer.

Seer has a double meaning. The one who sees only, just sees and he is only knowledge, he is a seer. Without any thought, without any reaction, just sees and absorbs automatically, spontaneously, he is the seer. For Me sometimes it is burdensome because there should be some parity between you and the deities, some balance must be there".

Here you are saying all the mantras and the deities are awakened and there you are who do not want to receive anything within your heart. So I am the One who has to stock up all the extra energy that is produced in My Body. So it would be better if you all keep your hearts opened and watch the Puja without thinking about it. Today we will reverse the method of the Puja. First we will do the Havana and then the Puja, it will be better. Because by that we will evoke the fire element which burns away all the evils. When you wash My Feet you do the same thing and even when you evoke the fire you do the same thing.

Today first we will have the Havana and then the Puja, both are just the same. You can worship Me with water or with fire. The essence of fire is the glow all that is wrong, all that is evil is burnt off and then the glow shows on the faces and on the bodies of the seekers. And also the atmosphere is charged with the beautiful vibrations when you have the Havana."(Importance of Puja and Havana, Paris, June 18, 1983)

"At the Nirvikalpa state, the collective consciousness becomes subtler and subtler. At that stage you can understand the very deep significance of things when the reality starts becoming clearer….

You give him a statue of a deity and ask him all about this statue- whether it is alright or not? He might say that it is not alright. You can feel the subtle vibrations, whether it is in Dharma or otherwise. Now can we say, say that Astavinayakas are living Gods? How do you know? Jyotirlingas are living? How will you know unless you know the integration of all the great souls together? And how are you going to judge them? That is why you must get Realization."

The Kundalini as tape recorder

The dreams come to you from the Kundalini itself, in a way. So what happens, the Kundalini is not connected on the central path, but it is the record, is all our past, all our record is in there, like a tape recorder has a tape, it is there. And what happens, that when you go very deep into Sushupti, that's the stage they call it, very deep into you, then the symbolism comes through that down below and passes through that blue line [Ida nadi] into your brain and that’s how you start seeing the dreams. But when you are passing through that you see, you pass through all your subconscious area, so the dreams get distorted, they get a funny symbolism. Sometimes you don't understand what's happening, it becomes a sort of a mixed up expression and on that to depend may not be so much good. Instead of that we must get the reality. The reality is that you become collectively conscious and you develop this vibratory awareness by which you can feel the All Pervading Power.

The Expression of Ida and Pingala is given through the Hamsa Chakra

We have never yet paid much attention to this center of Hamsa, which is, I think, very important for the Western world, rather than for the Indian or the Eastern. The reason is, at the Hamsa chakra, part of the Ida and Pingala come out and manifest - means the expression of Ida and Pingala is given through the Hamsa chakra. So this Hamsa chakra is the one that, as if has not gone up to the Agnya, but is holding on certain threads or certain parts of the Ida and Pingala. And they start flowing through your nose, expressing through your eyes, from your mouth and from your forehead. So you know that Vishuddhi chakra has got sixteen petals, which look after the eyes, nose, throat, tongue, teeth. But the expression part of it comes through the Hamsa chakra, of all these. So it’s a very, very important thing in a Western mind, to understand Hamsa chakra. There’s a beautiful couplet about this in Sanskrit, “Hansa kshveta ha, baka ha kshveta ha . ko bhedo hansa bakayo ho. Neera ksheera vivek e tu. Hansa ha hansaksh, baka ha baka ha.” Meaning ‘The crane and the swan, both are white. And what makes a difference between the two? If you mix the water and the milk together the hamsa (swan) will just suck in the milk. So it can discriminate between the water and the milk while the bakha, means the crane, cannot’. It’s a very significant thing for Sahaja Yogis to understand.

Surrender to the Subtler Being

We can only understand dedication of something, which looks bigger in a gross way, which appears in a gross way. But we cannot dedicate ourselves to something that is so much subtler, which is so minute, which is so much deeper, which is so much effective, which is so much dynamic, so universal and so eternal. We cannot think of dedicating ourselves to that. We can surrender ourselves to somebody who looks like a mountain, who comes to oppress us like a mountain, which is like false guru. But to surrender to your subtler being - which you cannot see with your eyes, which is not audible, but, in effect is so powerful; like the atomic bomb when the atom is split - when it is not split, it is everywhere. But at the subtlest point it is so dynamic, that when you separate it, it becomes such a dynamic force of destruction. As your attention has now penetrated into the subtler side of this universe, get deep and deeper into it. (31, 07, 1982, UK) All these things are to be understood after realization, and after maturity. Before that it is not possible. Beyond all these conceptions you have become your Self, now ready, to be responsible, to be what you are made for. Like the ship is built, is brought to the sea, tried, and found out to be sea-worthy to sail out now, into the sea. So this is the second phase where you have to sail out, when you know everything about the ship, everything about the sea. With complete freedom and wisdom, you have to sail now. Not afraid of any storms or any hails or any typhoons because now all you know, your job is to cross through. (31, 07, 1982, UK)

How Param Chaitanya worked within each of us!

" … It is like you have to accept a hypothesis that there exists an all pervading power above the human brain. This is the only Hypothesis. The human brain is in the form of a Pyramid. The Param Chaitanya or the all-pervading power is coming from all sides and striking the brain of a fetus (soon after its formation).

What actually happens is that, at the apex of this pyramidal brain, the Param Chaitanya passes unhindered and settles down the spine in the inverted Triangular bone area, at the base, in three and a half coils as the Kundalini Shakti. In the process it leaves its mark called the "Vacuum Channel" in the spine. Now the Param Chaitanya hitting the side s of the triangular brain has to permeate the Grey and the white matter. These have their own densities, and so governed by the physics Laws of Refraction, the Chaitanya refracts from left to right and from right to left. This is also called the Prismatic refraction effect. This phenomenon exists mostly for human brains and not so much in animals.

During the refraction process, the Human attention is pulled out to both the sides and is driven in the outward direction. Both the attention and the refracted Chaitanya cross at the Agnya Chakra from both the sides on their way out. As a result of this pull, an additional force called the resultant force is created. Now the theory of the Parallelogram of forces (of Physics) comes into play.

The resultant force is divided into two parts, each being at 90-degree angle to the other on both the left as well as the right side. The resultant force acts in the center of its two counterparts. One part creates the left and the right sympathetic Channel of the fetus by pushing its way down the body. The other part pushes its way out through the senses, dragging with it the Human attention both to the left and to the right. The second part is also known at the action in the outer world. From the outer world, this action brings back a reaction. (Another famous law of Physics) the path followed by the action and reaction is the same. On the left side this reaction builds one's Conditionings while on the right side it builds the Ego.

In short, our Chitta accompanied by the resultant Brahma -Chaitanya's living force went to the outer world, collected a reaction and brought back with it a conditioning from the left, thereby forming the Manasa or the mind. Both the action and reaction pass through both the Agnya and the Vishuddhi Chakras. The Chitta , being dispersed in nature, has the ability to flow from the whole body. The reaction of the left is the desire element, the potential of which gives birth to the Ida Nadi on the left Sympathetic Channel.

Similarly, the reaction of the right side is the action element, the potential of which forms the Pingla Nadi. The overflow of the Ida Nadi forms a balloon -like cloud at the back of the Agnya Chakra called the Super ego, while the overflow of the Pingla Nadi forms a similar cloud in front of the Agnya Chakra called the Ego. The Agnya remains directly in between these two balloons. The front of the Agnya is controlled by the Pituitary of the brain, while the back is controlled by the Pineal".

Subtle System

“Within us lies the peace, the
beauty, the glory of our being.
There is an ocean of all
that. We cannot seek it outside.
We have to go within."
- Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

The human subtle system is a vastly intricate one, made up of thousands of channels which carry energy throughout the body. The concentrations of the energy in the subtle system are called Chakras (“wheels”), or energy centers.

The entire system is governed by three primary vertical channels of energy called “Nadis” in Sanskrit and by seven main chakras. Our subtle system is fully activated only with the awakening of the Kundalini, which cleans and balances the entire system and enlightens the pure qualities of the chakras within us.

In each human being, the energy flows in one of three different channels. For simplicity we refer to them as the left, right and centre. Prior to Self-realization through Sahaja Yoga, the energy flows - the attention settles - in the left or the right. The left - the tamo guna - is concerned with desire, with yesterdays, with the moon, with conditioning, with memory. If the left side is out of kilter we can become cold, insecure, depressed, fearful. On the other side is the right channel - the rajo guna - concerned with action, with tomorrows, with the sun, with planning. If the right side is out of kilter we can become tense, aggressive, even violent. Some of us swing from one side to the other, and back again with painful consequences.

But Self-realization opens up the central channel - the satwa guna - bringing about the yoga, the union of the spirit with the Divine energy of creation. And once this central channel has been opened, then good meditation, health and well-being follow. When the energy flows along this central channel the other two - the left and the right - are brought into balance so that insecurity and depression on one side, tension and aggression on the other, disappear.

The energy that flows through the central channel is called kundalini, a sanskrit word. There is no English word for it. This power is the mothering energy in us, the nurturing energy, the energy that transforms us into spiritual beings. It is a reflection, in miniature, of Divinity. It is a seed of God’s power, the First Power, the Adi Shakti, the Holy Spirit, the Devi, the Feminine Aspect of God. The Goddess. And it is our honouring of this Divinity within us, our dedication, our worship, that strengthens the flow of kundalini, and opens up the rich world of the spirit.

THE LEFT CHANNEL

The left channel (or Ida Nadi in Sanskrit) is also called the Moon Channel. It begins at the Mooladhara and runs up the left side, crossing the Agnya Chakra into the temple and superego
on the right side of the brain. It provides the conduit for the energy of our desire. From these wishes, our emotions are triggered. Emotions are actually desires that have not yet materialized. These desires and the attendant feelings about them travel through this left channel to the appropriate places in the body to bring about the actions of fulfillment. Our desires are essential for action. Without their impetus we would have nothing to act upon.

The greatest quality of the left side is to provide joy which is the steady condition of the Spirit. You may remember having this joy as a child, or you may have observed it in small two- or three-year-old children. They usually wake up in the morning happy. While they may experience physical and emotional pain once in a while throughout their day they do not cling to it with memory. Rather, they cry, recover and resume the steady state of joy. The desire for this joy is still alive inside us the same as it was when we were infants. It may be blocked or covered with “tarnish” from emotional or physical hurts experienced in living life. Before Sahaja Yoga, we did not have effective techniques for clearing away the hurts and blows that are normal for those of us living active lives. The practice of Sahaja Yoga helps us remove those old tensions and recover that joy as a steady state of being.

Problems of the left side tend to result in passivity or emotional extremism whereby we are thrown between elation and depression. With this type of imbalance, self-discipline becomes difficult and bad habits become hard to correct. In the worst case, we will become lethargic and self-obsessed. Because this channel feeds also into the skull area, pressure on the brain becomes excessive. This cycle is what causes mental breakdown, epilepsy and senility (decay of the brain).

THE RIGHT CHANNEL

The right channel (or Pingala Nadi in Sanskrit) is also called the Sun Channel. It begins at the Swadisthan Chakra and travels up the right side. It crosses over to the left temple (ego) at the Agnya Chakra. It provides the conduit for our active energy. This energy is comprises of our mental and physical activities. When the demand for energy on this side is too great, the left side is weakened; the desire to have joy of the Spirit evaporates. When the right side dominates, the personality becomes very dry and aggressive. Excess pressure shoots up into the left temple and into the ego, causing it to inflate into a balloon that blocks the central channel. The entire system is thrown off balance. Blinded by ego, sensitivity to our own emotions is diminished. Decisions and actions are taken that dominate or disrupt the lives of others with a firm belief that they are “necessary” and “logical.” Taken to this extreme, right-sided behavior leads to heart disease.

The high-tech, high-powered, “fast-track” environments of the Western world’s cities and suburbs are generating predominantly right-sided citizens. It is difficult to maintain equilibrium
between emotions and action when the work, school and shopping environments are aggressive and stressful. It is difficult to maintain a peaceful home where the imbalances and negativities can be corrected and purified. Instead, most of us go back to work or school with the accumulated negativities of the past clinging to our systems.

Sahaja Yoga practices are effective at removing negativity and balancing the chakras and channels. Using simple meditation and techniques, such as footsoaking, lying on the ground, sweeping the “aura” and shoebeating once can begin each day with joy from the open chakras and energetic power from a balanced system. You can revitalize yourself and the relationships around you simply by working on yourself from the inside out.

THE CENTRAL CHANNEL

The central channel (or Sushumna Nadi in Sanskrit) is also called the Middle Path. It begins at the place where the Kundalini resides and passes straight up the spine to the highest chakra.

As the conduit for the parasympathetic nervous system, the central channel coordinates our involuntary system activities. We do not have conscious control over these activities. Our heart beats, our lungs breathe, our blood system manufactures plasma, our brain centralizes and coordinates communication, our mind performs “word processing”… all of these incredible functions – and more – operate more powerfully than forty billion computers. These operations are performed regardless of where our attention is focused. They seem to have no need for our conscious leadership and control. Yet, miraculously, our body’s involuntary activities function according to an organized operating plan with such complex interactions, syntheses, and communications that our deepest medical scientific research, which is now probing into the DNA,
recognizes that still we have only reached the “tip of the iceberg.” We have discovered that the human system is so vast and so ingenious that even to get some type of rudimentary understanding of it, requires recognition of our ignorance of it. We may start learning something new.

This is what Sahaja Yoga is about.

The activities that take place through the parasympathetic system are spontaneous happenings. They happen naturally, without our doing anything. The rising of the Kundalini and her work, as well as all the other spiritual activities, are spontaneous. Hence, the term Sahaja was selected to label this type of yoga because it means spontaneous. The implication of the parasympathetic nature of the middle path is that the rise of the Kundalini is totally beyond our own volition or control. That is why, actually, Shri Mataji has to act as a catalyst. Once our Kundalini has been awakened and has travelled through this central channel, out the top of the head, we can begin to become aware of the vast internal galaxy of our subtle system. This initial “enlightenment” or realization is only the beginning of our greatest adventure.

Our Divine Mother..!
