Beej Mantras – ‘Ham and Ksham'

The aim of Jesus Christ was to open the centre of your Agnya and to achieve that purpose He got Himself crucified and then He resurrected. It appears to be a miracle but for the Divinity there is no miracle as such. He proved that human beings could rise above the centre of Agnya and on this centre He told two mantras which we call


Beej Mantras – ‘Ham and Ksham’-



‘Ksham’ means to forgive. Ksham is the biggest mantra. The ego of the person who knows how to forgive, gets destroyed. One is proud of small-small things. For example if you tell someone to sit on the earth, his ego gets hurt. If some one is told to sit in the chair, he will reply, “This chair is very small, why have you given it to me?”



Everyone has some expectation about him and if his expectations are not fulfilled, his ego immediately comes up. Unknowingly some times such things could be done but the egoistical people take it as their insult. Such people make their condition very miserable. All the time they think they are being insulted and humiliated. He is always obsessed with this thought and he draws negative meaning of whatever is told to him.



So we have to think of what Jesus Christ had thought. He said, “Forgive those who have tress passed against you”. Now see the results if you forgive everyone. You will neither suffer nor get disturbed mentally. You will not think of the person whom you have forgiven. Nothing could go against you because you forgive everyone. We get this power from the centre of Agnya.



The person whose Agnya is clear forgives everyone. If we do not forgive we torture ourselves and play in the hands of others, who assume power over us. ‘Forgiveness’ is the greatest message that Jesus Christ has given to mankind.



Second is ‘Ham’. It has altogether different meaning. Ham means ‘To Know Thyself.’ You have to know that you are the Spirit. You are not this body, mind, brain or ego. You are the Spirit. When you knows this ‘Ham’ then it will be clear to you that you are the ‘Atma’. The ‘Spirit’ means that all the ego, foolishness, ignorance that we have in our mind, are meaningless. All these negativities have absolutely no place in the Pure Spirit. You are very pure.

“My Photo has the Vibrations. It is a fact. Also there are many things that have Vibrations. Even this statue has Vibrations. But not so much as they are for Me. First of all I am a living Being, and another thing is that their proportions may be wrong. They are created by the human beings, by their imaginations. But these Swayambhu Lingas, all of them have got it. For example, supposing you go to, say, this Ranjangaon, Ganesha, it has complete Vibrations. Because these are special statues come out of the Mother Earth, Mother Earth throws out. Mother Earth thinks. She creates these things. She throws these things. And they give Vibrations. So you take Vibrations from them also. But My photograph is the photograph of Reality. Another thing is that whatever I speak, because I am That, it is Pranava flowing. It is actually Pranava. My every talk, everything is Mantra going into. And when I put My finger into it, I have found that My Vibrations can turn round. Even when I blow out air from my mouth, those who are realized can feel it on their Sahasrara. It is a fact. So why should it look so funny to people?

What is a mantra?

It is that power of the word that expresses Spirit. A mantra is nothing but a thought, which is vibrated. Any thought that is vibrated is a mantra.

Your mantras are to be seen. Mantras are to be such that they should not be mechanical, just saying something mechanically. You should say it from your heart. Again, if you do not say mantras through your heart, the mantra is not siddha. Means you may go on saying one hundred times, it will have no effect. Siddha mantra is that, that you say, that it has an effect, it works. If it does not work, then your mantra has no meaning.

There should be complete purity in the recitation of mantras to awaken the deities and your heart must be involved in it. (An undated Marathi letter) Now, the name of your Mother is very powerful. You know that is the most powerful name than all other names, the most powerful mantra. But you must know how to take it. With that complete dedication you have to take that name - not like any other name. You know that in India when they take the name of the Guru, they hold their ears to take the name of their guru. Means, "While taking the name, if I am making any mistake please forgive me." It means that. This mantra is a very powerful mantra. Only what you need is the dedication - the dynamite of dedication.

A Prayer to Mother Divine, Bhavani: these sacred sanskrit 8 Stanza prayers were written by Sri Aadi Shankaracharya, composed in a high state of devotion and bliss to uplift the devotees.

Translation

O Mother Divine!

Father, Mother, Husband, Wife, Children and Friends

none of these are eternally mine .

Knowledge, intellect, mind and will power are also not eternal.

O Mother of the universe- You are my only saviour, My eternal refuge

I have fallen in the ocean of birth and death, and I fear their sorrows.

I am trapped by my ego with its countless desires, greed, pride and lust.

O Mother of the universe- You are my only saviour, my eternal refuge.

O Mother of the universe - I do not know how to come close to you.

I do not know any form of worship. Help me,
O Mother Divine- You are my only saviour, my eternal refuge.

I do not know how to be righteous or find your abode.

I do not know how to achieve freedom by dissolving my ego.

I am devoid and surrender. I am not strong enough to make any vow.

O Mother of the universe- You are my saviour, my eternal refuge

My mind is always engaged in worthless thoughts and actions.

My Intellect has become dull, enslaved by old habits.

I am unable to behave honourably and my intentions are unique.

My speech becomes harsh and hurting. Save me,

O Mother of the universe - You are my only saviour, my eternal refuge

I do not Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Indra, Surya and Chandra,

or any other divinities.

You are known for your compassion-

MANTRAS IN SAHAJA YOGA

In Sanskrit, “manana” means to meditate. A mantra is that which is uttered in meditation. It is the phonetization of vibrations into a specific sound which has a direct effect on the inner being. When a realized soul (Sahaja Yogi) utters a mantra, he/she mediates spiritual energy for the specific purpose for which the mantra is intended. When a Chakra has been affected, the residing deity of the Chakra recedes. The following verses are said in Sanskrit and praise the residing Deities now in the Being of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, thus giving sustenance and energy to those centers. The qualities of the Deities manifest themselves in your everyday life spontaneously, bringing you towards an integration of all the qualities of the Divine. Sanskrit is used, for when the Kundalini rises, She makes vibrations. These vibrations are sounds (the language of Gods). Sanskrit derives its sounds from those vibrations.
