Sahasrara should be opened out fully

First of all you should understand yourself. If you don’t understand yourself, how can you understand other people? You cannot. So first this Sahasrara should be opened out fully.




Fully means complete oneness with the Divine. That is not difficult. Only you have to meditate little bit and then it will work out. It has worked out in many people. I am very happy to see, and meet such people in Sahaja Yoga, who have achieved such a lot of collectivity and also awareness of a realized soul. So what is the awareness of a realized soul? That is what we have to understand today.




It’s a very important day, as I said. The awareness is such that you should now know what is happening in this world and how you can help it. How can you help people to get to this awareness- unless you have this full, full knowledge about yourself, complete strength about yourself, and the confidence, you cannot do it.




Sahasrara Day is to be celebrated just to strengthen your bond with the Divine so that your consciousness becomes absolutely enlightened and you see the right point in everything.

Tremendous happenings - Experience Opening of Sahasrara

As you know in the Sahasrara there are the seats of the seven main chakras. There are 1000 nadis [channels] or as they call it flames, and they all have each 16000 powers. Every nadi [channel] deals with a particular type of person, and with the person mutations and combinations of all these nadis, human beings are looked after.


As soon as the Sahasrara was opened, the whole atmosphere was filled with tremendous chaitanya [vibrations], and there was tremendous light in the sky, and the whole thing came on this earth as if a torrential rain or a waterfall with such tremendous force as if I was unaware and got stupefied.


The happening was so tremendous, and so unexpected that I was stunned and got totally silent at the grandeur. I saw the primordial Kundalini rising like a big furnace, and the furnace was very silent but a burning appearance it had, as if you heat up a metal and it has many colours. In the same way, the Kundalini showed up as a furnace like a tunnel, as you see these plants you have for coal burning that create electricity; and it stretched like a telescope and came out one after another, Shoot! Shoot! Shoot! Just like that.


Then the deities came and sat on their seats, golden seats, and then they lifted the whole of the head like a big dome and opened it, and then this torrential rain completely drenched me-I started seeing all that and got lost in the joy. It was like an artist seeing his own creation, and I felt the joy of great fulfillment.



After coming out of this beautiful experience, I looked around and saw human beings so blind and I became absolutely silent, and desired that I should get the cups to fill the nectar, not all stones.

The Power of Enlightenment

Sahasrara is your awareness; when it is enlightened you get into the techniques of the Divine. Now there are two techniques, the techniques of the Divine, and the techniques you follow.

You cannot act as the Divine, but you can use the Divine power to man oeuvre it. For example, the Divine looks after all the Universal happenings. Every minutest particle is controlled by the Divine.


When your Sahasrara opens out, and your Kundalini touches the fontanelle bone, a sort of lightening force is ready in your Sahasrara; and as soon as the fontanelle bone area opens up in the Sahasrara, the grace of the spirit ignites that igniting force and your nadis (channels) get enlightened. Not all of them, but quite a lot of them; not all the length, but quite the peripheries. That is how you get your enlightenment.



So many things happen because of your seven centres being in the Sahasrara, with the light you see their relative positions. I mean your mind, your conscious mind feels that integration within you. The rationality that is separated from the heart becomes one with the heart. It becomes one with your attention. Wherever your attention goes you act in a collective way.


All the activities in your attention are blessed. Your attention itself is effective. Your attention is very important, your desires are even more important because it is such an integrated thing, your desires and your attention becomes one. Whatever is good for the spirit, you desire.

Today, I will be telling you about the last centre of Sahasrara. So this last centre, the Sahasrara, is contained in the limbic area of the brain. Our head is like a coconut. The coconut has the hair, and then a hard nut and then a black covering and inside is white shell of coconut and inside is the space, the water. In the same way, our brain is made. That's why coconut is called as "Shreephal". It is the fruit of the power, that is, Shree. Shree power is the right side power and the left side power is the Lalita power.

So, we have two Chakras-left side, here, is the Lalita and the right-side, here, is the Shree Chakra. These two Chakras are working out the right side Mahasaraswati's power and left side Mahakalis power. Now, the central power is the Kundalini that has to rise and penetrate through different Chakras, enter into the limbic area and enlighten the seven Pithas-seats of these seven Chakras.

So, it penetrates through six Chakras, enters into the limbic area, enlightens all the seven Pithas in the brain, which are placed along the mid-line of the limbic area. So, we start from the back, is placed here, at the back, is the Mooladhar Chakra, around it is the Swadishthan, then is the Nabhi, then the Heart, then the Vishuddhi and then the Agya. So, all these six centres are combining to make the seventh centre. This is very important point which we should know Now, the Shree Chakra is right side working & Lalita Chakra is left side working. So, when the Kundalini does not rise then we do with our right side our physical and mental activities So our brain is doing right side activity and that's why our brain is like 'Shreephal'. ....

After your Sahasrara has opened

"God has created fourteen levels within us. If you simply count them, then you know that there are seven chakras within us. Beside these , there are two more Chakras, about which you do not talk much. They are the Chakra of Moon (Lalita) and Chakra of Sun ( Shri) . Then there is 'Hamsa' Chakra. Thus, there are three more. Seven plus three makes ten. Then there are four Chakras above Sahasrara. And about these chakras also I have told you ; Ardhabindu , Bindu, Valay , and Pradakshina. These are the four.After coming to Sahaja Yoga and after your Sahasrara has opened ,youhave to pass through these four chakras: Ardha-Bindu, Bindu, Valayaand Pradakshina. After passing through these four chakras only, canyou say that you have become a Sahaja Yogi."

What are the Don'ts and Do's for Sahaja Yogis?

Question: What are the Don'ts and Do's for Sahaja Yogis?

Answer: First and foremost thing is that a Sahaja Yogi cannot smoke or drink. One absolutely hundred percent sure. Because if you drink or smoke, you will find after sometime, either you will lose your Vibrations, or you will start vomiting. You cannot smoke. If you smoke, your Visshuddhi will be caught. If you drink, your Manipur (Nabhi) will be caught, and whenever you put your hand towards my Photograph, your Nabhi Chakra will be burning. Many people have done it without any difficulty. They do not have any difficulty. They just give up. So this is one of the most important thing that you have to gradually give up. You just take my Name and it will work it out.Secondly. don't fast. When Mother is there you have not to fast. Only fast on Nrak Chaturdashi.

That's all. If you don't feel like eating, eat something else. But don't keep your stomach empty. You can drink fruit juice, or milk or whatever you like. These are certain things about the food and stomach Nabhi Chakra. Next the eyes, are the very important things, where you have to be very careful not to move your eyes very fast anywhere, try to keep your eyes steady, and mostly on the Mother Earth. You have heard about Laxmana, He never saw the face of Sitaji. Only saw Her feet. How can that be? He was always with them. So you can imagine what should be the position. For complete fourteen years, he has to lead a Bramhachari life. She was like his mother. He knew that She was Adi Shakti. But he just saw Her feet. That should be our case. We should lead a sanctified married life. Create a nest of family. A proper family house. Try to adopt, compromise, adjust. Make your wife realised, make your husband Realised, and bring peace in the family; because there are many great souls who want to take birth.

Those who got married like this, they all got realised children. So you must try to get a family life, a proper family, a proper relationship give service to your parents, don't find faults with your parents and try to be kind to them, and try to be good in the family. Don't spoil the children, also correct them. Make them loving. Make a nice society. Every one of you should be the carrier of Love of your Mother. If you are a Sahaja Yogi, and if you change and transform in your behaviour, naturally Sahaja Yoga will have its own reputation, and everybody will start taking to Sahaja Yoga. You cannot earn any money from Sahaja Yoga.Do not have Sahaja Yogis for business partnership.Do not use Sahaja Yoga for making money. You have to be generous people.

You have to be honest.There are Ten Commandments as they say, and be satisfied in your heart.You have to lead a chaste life, and see chaste things your priorities will change. Your friends will change, you will not like dirty jokes. You will just change, and run away from them. I have seen these foreigners now. They say t hat they just cannot tolerate those things now. Once upon a time whatever they used to tolerate and enjoy also; they cannot tolerate it now. Because you have become sensitive now. You have to be decent people.Don't be misers at all. All miserly people are against Sahaja Yoga, and if miserly people come I give them troubles. If you are miserly, you get lots of troubles. So don't get miserly. I am telling you, don't be too talkative also. If you become too talkative, and troublesome, I can stop your talking.If you don't talk at all; that is also not good. That means, don't go to extremes.

Opening Sahasrara

In the early morning on May 5th 1970, on a lonely beach of Nargol (about 150 km from Mumbai), Shri Mataji out of shear compassion opened the Sahasrara for Humanity.

"I saw the Kundalini, which is the primordial force within us, which is the Holy Ghost within us, rising, like a telescope opening out. And then I saw the whole thing open and a big torrential rain of beams started flowing through My head all over. I felt I am lost. I am no more. There is only grace. I saw it completely happening to me."

How it all had to happen in the beginning of our world!!

I remember the first incident when we went to Nargol where I had opened the Sahasrara. The first person who got realization was a Gujarati jeweler. There were hardly 35 people. They started saying that because he is a rich man, so Mother has given him realization. I think that is the first time and last time I really got angry. I started shouting at them: ' you good for nothing, useless people, you can never take to Divinity.' I had really thought that I would stop it, take another life and another time where people would understand what is Sahaja Yoga.

But after that suddenly the people started feeling the cool breeze in their hands., after my shouting. They said,' Mother it is working.' Thus we got 12 people then we had 14 Sahaja Yogis only for whom it was something out of the blue and they were all flabbergasted. They did not know what it was. Surprisingly in one of the programme, a lady who was possessed by some Brahmins came and started saying Jagdamba, Jagdamba. I had never told them who I was.

She recited a poem from Saundarya Lahiri in Sanskrit language and she was just a maidservant. Everybody was shocked that the Bhoot should say all these things. Then she went away. After that these people started probing into it and they wanted to have my Puja first time in my house itself. Still people were not very sure they were doing the right thing. Even the Brahmins they called said this Saptashati Puja is a very difficult Puja and something will happen to us. After the Puja they all felt the cool breeze. The entire atmosphere changed and they started understanding that Sahaja Yoga is the Yuga Dharma, is the one of this Kali Yuga. So the Sahaja Dharma became the Dharma of this Yuga.

This Yuga is difficult, no doubt. But in difficulties only we become intense seekers and that is what happened with all of you that you found out that whatever people were following they were not reaching any point. Like a cocoon. They were hitting their head here and there. They got their realization so quickly. When they told me how they were seeking what was happening to them. I was amazed, how the seeking was working within them. Also in the meanwhile so many got lost into the clutches of false Gurus. Despite that today we have so many Sahaja yogis." What Is Tension?

"In these modern times we have something called tensions. It was never there before. People never talked of any tensions. Now every body says, "I am in tension, you give me a tension". What is this tension? - This is because of my advent. The limbic area wants to know about me. As Sahaja Yoga is expanding the Kundalini is trying to rise in other people because you people have become the channels. Wherever you go you generate vibrations and these vibrations give a challenge to the kundalini or a message in various people and it rises. It may not rise up to the Sahasrara or may rise and fall back due to lack of recognition. So every time they do something the kundalini comes up and gives them a pressure because their Sahasrara is not open. It is a closed door. Because of the closed door it gives them a kind of pressure in the head, which they don't understand and they call it a tension. Actually the kundalini is trying to push out itself but it cannot. Those who get their realization but do not make the Sahasrara alright face the same tensions. "

“My Photo has the Vibrations. It is a fact. Also there are many things that have Vibrations. Even this statue has Vibrations. But not so much as they are for Me. First of all I am a living Being, and another thing is that their proportions may be wrong. They are created by the human beings, by their imaginations. But these Swayambhu Lingas, all of them have got it. For example, supposing you go to, say, this Ranjangaon, Ganesha, it has complete Vibrations. Because these are special statues come out of the Mother Earth, Mother Earth throws out. Mother Earth thinks. She creates these things. She throws these things. And they give Vibrations. So you take Vibrations from them also. But My photograph is the photograph of Reality. Another thing is that whatever I speak, because I am That, it is Pranava flowing. It is actually Pranava. My every talk, everything is Mantra going into. And when I put My finger into it, I have found that My Vibrations can turn round. Even when I blow out air from my mouth, those who are realized can feel it on their Sahasrara. It is a fact. So why should it look so funny to people?

TURIYA DASHA

Advice given by H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi:"... most important for all of us is to know that there's a nadi which passes through left Vishuddhi into the heart. Starts from the heart, goes up, passes through Agnya. It has four petals, opens up. This is the one which gives you the state which is called as Turiya.

We live in three states. In the living - in the awakened state, jagruti - our attention goes to this, that, and all that, we spoil our attention.

But the second one is the one what we call is that we sleep. When we sleep also all these things that have happened come to us from our past and things like that.But then we go to the deeper sleep called as sushupti. Is a state where you have deep sleep, and you dream of something that is reality also. You may dream about me. Like it's the ethereal part of the subconscious where some beautiful informations are passed. Supposing I've come, say, to Italy. Italians might know in their sushupti that I have come here or maybe anybody might know, depends on.

But the fourth state is called as Turiya. There are two more states. You are in the Turiya state, is the fourth. Turiya means fourth. Fourth state is where, that you are in a thoughtless awareness state. When there is no thought - just think of it - when there is no thought you have to be innocent. When there is no thought you have to have vibrations. When there is no thought you cannot be attached to anyone. So into that thoughtless state you have come now, is the Turiya disthuti. And in this state, when you are, these four petals which are within you have to open out in your brain. They come from your heart to your brain. And that is when you absolutely understand what is God. Absolutely know what is God is. That is the time when one receives the real knowledge. But unless and until these four petals open one may fall back."(MahaShivaratri Puja, 16/2/91)"



So, when you are in the center you witness, you start witnessing. When you steady yourself in the center. Because some people are such that they start on the left, go to the right, they become so ego-oriented that it’s impossible to deal with. But if you stay in the center, that’s the fourth side, is staying in the center. Turiya is the fourth dimension. If you could stay on that then you become a witness. And that’s the point where you start sucking the joy of every moment. Every moment, of everything, of every work, of every friendship, of every relationship, of every understanding."(Talk, Brompton Square, London, 7/12/81)"

So the relationship with the Adi Kundalini is that it is the reflection of the Adi Kundalini. Now the reflection — supposing you take an Indian mirror; you look in the mirror and you’ll find you look like nothing on earth, it will just cut you into three pieces, maybe, or anything. But if you take a Belgian mirror, say, then the reflection is correct, full – but still not three dimensional. But this is a four dimensional reflection — four dimensional it is, what is called as turiya state. And that four dimensional personality you have reflected because of your reflector of your desire. The reflector is the desire and the reflection is complete."(Shri Adi Kundalini Puja, 11/8/91)"


Turiya is the fourth state. In the fourth state you dominate these three gunas, you control all the elements. At this stage, you just say and it works. You have seen yesterday what happened with me. It just works, you become master of these three gunas. Like I used to describe that first you are sitting in the car and somebody's driving you. He uses your left and right side, or you can say, the brake and accelerator, and the car is driven. Then he starts teaching you how to drive. Then you start learning by using your left and right, accelerator and your brake. Then the third stage comes in where you become a driver, but still you are worried about the master who is sitting behind, that still you are doing a mistake, you are doing wrong. But then the fourth stage comes, you become the master. You make others drive. Order here, anyone, order the Sun, order the Moon, order. Order means just tell them, I mean not question of any domination is there. Just desire. Just say it, it works out. Now this fourth stage is called as Turiya Dasha.


Then comes the fifth stage in which - I don't want to give you names because you’ll stick on to those. They are not so clear cut. They mingle from each other you see, and they are mixtures. But in Turiya state when you mature properly, then you jump into the fifth state, in which you do not even, you do Sankalpa. You do not even determine or say anything. You just, anything slips out of your mouth, may not even slip out - it works. Is a state. There you handle the whole situation, sitting down here.


Sitting down here, you know each and every thing. Then not only you have mastered it, but in that you can enter into it. Now, for example, I’ll tell you what. I can enter into your subconscious, into your collective subconscious, into your supraconscious, into all the areas you see, I can if I want to. This is when you have mastered it completely, then you enter into it. When you are the master, then you enter into it. When you're master of this house, you can enter into any place.Then comes the seventh state and that is the state where you, just you are. Your being there is sufficient. Just being there. Nothing exists, but you - for yourself. Now all these seven states you can reach, because I stand beyond them and I have come down to the first state. I'm trying to pull you out. If you do not drag me down, I can pull you up very fast. So only request is don't drag me down."

Opening the Sahasrara - Beyond human understanding!

It is a great day for all of us, the seekers, that the last work of the Divine, of opening the last centre in the great primordial being was done on the 5th of May 1970. It is the greatest event of all the spiritual happenings of the universe. It was done with very great care and great adjustments. It is not in the limits of human understanding, how things are worked out in the heavens. It is your fortune and God's love that has worked out this wondrous miracle. Without this happening, there could not have been the possibility of giving mass realisation to people. One could have done it for one or two persons here and there, but to have given such a mass awakening would not have been possible. (May 5, 1982, France)

Sahasrara as the Lotus of one thousand petals

Sahasrara is the most beautiful part of your being. It is a big lotus with one thousand petals of different colours appearing like inflated flames. It is a thing that has been seen by many people, but to see it pour that torrential rain was like these flames becoming a fountain, a fountain of colour, fountain of fragrance; when you think of a flower pouring its colour and its fragrance around.


People have written very little about Sahasrara, because whatever they have seen is from outside, and it is not possible for them to see from inside. Even if you reach from inside and the whole Sahasrara is not opened out, you cannot see its beauty; because when it is closed, the whole of it, you just pass through an aperture and get out of it. But just imagine a huge big one thousand petalled lotus, and you are sitting inside on the corona and looking at all those petals, all very beautifully coloured, and fragrant, and pulsating with the bliss of joy.




To remain on that position is the ideal position, but then after the silence you are filled with tremendous compassion and love, and you are drawn out to people who haven't yet known what is having eyes. And then you try to put your attention to the



Sahasrara of millions of people; and then you start seeing the problems that exist in the Sahasrara. And even if you desire to open the Sahasrara, it is a very difficult thing, because the channeling of the Divine to human beings has to be done through human beings. The power may be with you, but it has to be channeled through human beings.

In the Sahasrara Chakra the whole instrument is integrated. Each Chakra has its place here, and this is where the Deities have their seats within the Virata.

QUALITY

At the point of the Sahasrara we go beyond the relative, to the Absolute. Above the three Gunas, and into the Absolute realization of Heaven on Earth. This is a country far beyond our
wildest imaginings, so much more than our words can even seek to imply. This is our ultimate destination, stretching out forever.

Our progress towards this goal is a living process. When the seed matures it naturally sprouts. William Blake described it perfectly:
“Thou perceivest the flowers put forth their precious odours, and none can tell how so small a center comes such sweets. Forgetting that within that center eternity expands.”

When the Kundalini reaches the Sahasrara, the lotus petals open and enlightenment takes place (samadhi). You may feel a powerful pulsation in the crown of the head, followed by a
melting sensation and a flow of cool vibrations from the fontanel areas. This is the baptism by which you know that you are truly born again.

Vibratory awareness begins at this point. As the Kundalini unites our individual consciousness to the universal consciousness (the Atma to the Paramatma), we are suddenly tuned in to the universal wavelength of vibrations. These vibrations pervade the cosmos, but before Realization, while we are still in the egg form, we know nothing of them. When the Kundalini breaks the shell of the egg, we emerge into God’s Kingdom, the collective unconscious. At this point we are singing the song of the unconscious, the vibrations are playing through the instrument that we have become. But a doubting mind cannot ascend.
“But the man who is ignorant, who has no faith, who is of a doubting nature, perishes. For the doubting soul, there is neither this world nor the world beyond nor any happiness. We must have a positive basis for life, an unwavering faith to discover the truth which stands the test of life” The Bhagavad-Gita IV:40.


As human awareness is united to the Divine, we move into the subtlest level of communication, into collective consciousness. In becoming vessels for that universal power we become one
with all the other vessels. We learn to appreciate the real depth and beauty of another person in vibrations. The beauty of art and nature now manifest itself as vibrations. Just ask the question and a positive answer comes as a flow of cool vibrations. It is conversation at its most sublime.

TRADITION

The presiding Deity (or role model) of the Sahasrara Chakra, Shri Kalki, is still to come. With his eleven destructive powers (Ekadesha Rudra) he is the final, most awesome incarnation of Shri Vishnu. He is the rider of the apocalypse whole only objective is the end of evil. He is the last judgment, and the judgment has begun. We will rise or fall according to the Kundalini. She it is who will give us all the chance to recognize the Truth. It is only through vibratory awareness that we can truly discriminate between that which is True, and that which is false. As the Koran teaches: “At the time of Resurrection, the hands will speak.”

Shri Mataji, as the source of this Mahayoga, also has her place in the Sahasrara. Through Her grace, our Kundalini is awakened, our eternal Spirit is enlightened and we feel vibrations also. Because of Her, we also can awaken the Kundalini of others after our own awakening. We can give Realization to others, we can cure sickness and we can share the message of Divine Love with the entire world. Lord Jesus said, “I will send you a Comforter, a Counselor and a Redeemer, The Holy Spirit, who will teach you all things.”

When human consciousness tunes into the infinite, it becomes infinite. Enlightenment develops spontaneously. The sages have sung the praises of this space and have described it
poetically as the union between the lover and his beloved. The Buddha called it the Void, Mahavira termed it Nirvana, the Vedas called it Moksha and the Christ referred to it as the
Kingdom of Heaven.


Shri Mataji describes it thus:

"The limited capacity of the brain becomes unlimited
in its capacity to realize God. If you are the sun and
the sunlight, if you are the moon and the moonlight
where is duality? Only when there is separation there
is duality and because of that separation you feel attachment…
a distance between you and yours; that’s
why get attached to it. Everything is we, who is the
other? When the brain has lost its identity, the so



CLEARING THE SAHASRARA

Affirmations:

Mother, please give me my Realization.
Mother, please establish my Realization.


General Advice:

Press the Brahmarandra (fontanel area) with the left hand and place the right hand towards the picture of Shri Mataji, then try reversing the hand positions.

Massage the head with even hand pressure, move the scalp to and fro many times until the pressure on the head reduces.

Using cupped hands massage the sides of the head. The Ego can show up in the hands as the left
Sahasrara catching, and the Superego as the right Sahasrara. called limited brain becomes the unlimited Spirit.”
